So I’m at the point where I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be doing. All the conventions I’ve tried getting into have given me the wag of the finger. Maybe I need to take my comic book off hiatus so I have something more than just paintings to show off.
I put my book on hiatus so I could get some other comics out of the way. On top of the web comics which I’ve anti-loved doing I want to get some actual stories out of the way. Some of the will be random stories involving either old characters, new characters, or some autobiographical stuff. I plan on submitting these comics to various magazines and stuff but who knows if anything will get published.

Taco Party at the White House!

I’m tired of these web comics.

But seriously, more web comics are on their way. They just need to be scanned.

And later, TACOS!

Although I have always thought of web comics as a way of lowering one’s dignity as an artist, I really seem to enjoy doing them.

In the past I was never able to come through with a three panel storyline. My comics were always a page to two pages long. My old style, along with an old way of making comics, has long been forgotten. It seems I cannot pump out random page long comics anymore. These days, before making a comic, I (gulp) script it out first. The days of nonsense are over. I’ve long forgotten the pleasure of premature comics. I have, however, discovered that I can still draw random comics without scripting but they need to be short. So short, in fact, that they cannot even fill up an entire Xerox sheet of paper. I can once again pump out premature comics and get the same satisfaction I got back in High School.

Although these comics are significantly shorter than they used to be it is still a comic. It still has panels and characters of my own design. I like making them on the side for web purposes and I will continue to make them for fun. Maybe one day when there are enough of them I will compile them into something. Until then I’ll toss them around on my upcoming web site and this blog.

I am still working on my PageFiller comic. The first couple of chapters are sketched out and I plan on getting a few more done this week. The comic is coming out very well. This time is going way better than the last script I was working on. After this I will work on a few more mini comics and then the real project will start.

Prepare yourself, in the future, for The Adventures of Ryan.
